March 29th - Symposium, Sponsored by Myriad.
Join us for an Educational Seminar regarding your inherited
risk for Breast and/or Ovarian Cancer. Information will be discussed
about the DNA test for breast cancer, BRACA 1 and BRACA 2. Individual
consultation with a nurse and blood draw for genetic testing
can be scheduled by appointment. The Seminar is being held at
South Nassau Hospital Conference Center, One Healthy Way, Oceanside,
NY 11572, from 9am- noon. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Space

10th - Lord & Taylor Manhasset to host 2nd Annual Hewlett
House Benefit.
Honoring Veronica Greene, Principal of PS 123K and Dr. Abby
Greenberg, Acting Commissioner of Health, Nassau County. Starts
at 9:00 am. Purchase a $25.00 ticket in advance. All proceeds
are being donated to the Hewlett House. All attendees will receive
breakfast in L&T Café, savings pass, goodie bag,
complimentary makeovers, and facials in cosmetic dept. There
will also be raffles with prizes. In-store gift-wrapping from

7th -The 3rd Annual "Breast Cancer Awareness Night"
presented by The Long Island Ducks.
The Long Island Ducks will host this evening to raise breast
cancer awareness across Long Island. Players wear pink jerseys
and have pink bats, which are auctioned off throughout September
and October. Tickets are $10.To purchase tickets for the event

October 16th - 3rd Annual "I Will Survive Dance."
Join 1in9/Hewlett House for a great time to celebrate in our
survivorship. DJ music played all night long. Dance will be
held at Chateau Briand in Westbury from 7:00 pm-11:00 pm. Silent
Auction and raffles are just a few of the evening's events;
our favorite is the induction into the Hewlett House Hall of
Fame. Dinner, drinks, and Martini Bar included. $125.00 per
